POSITION SUMMARY

The AI Implementation Strategist will be instrumental in propelling The Republic of Tea into a new era of innovation. Working without direct reports but in close collaboration with the existing IT team, this role will focus on mapping our organizational processes and identifying opportunities for AI to enhance our business.

The AI Implementation Strategist will play a pivotal role in ushering The Republic of Tea into a new era of innovation. This role will begin by comprehensively mapping our current processes across departments, identifying areas ready for AI integration. The Strategist will work closely with the Head of Operations and the CEO to develop and execute a strategic roadmap for AI implementation, ensuring that we remain the specialty tea industry's vanguard.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Organizational Process Mapping: Create a comprehensive understanding of existing processes across our Direct-to-Consumer and Wholesale business verticals.
• AI Opportunity Identification: Utilize internal and external data to discover areas ready for AI integration that can optimize efficiency and enhance customer experience, while leveraging sales data to pinpoint areas where AI can deliver the most impact.
• Strategic AI Roadmap: Develop and collaborate on a strategic plan for AI initiatives that aligns with business objectives and growth goals, collaborating with the Head of Operations and the CEO to formulate a comprehensive AI strategy, setting both short-term and long-term goals.
• Project Management: Oversee the development and implementation of AI solutions, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Resource Optimization: Provide actionable recommendations for IT infrastructure adjustments to support AI implementation.
• Customer Experience Enhancement: Leverage AI to improve customer service and engagement.
• Inventory Optimization: Utilize AI for smarter demand forecasting and inventory management.
• Sustainable Practices Integration: Integrate AI solutions that contribute to the company's sustainability goals.
• Sales Growth and Market Expansion: Utilize AI to identify new market opportunities and optimize sales strategies.
• Data Governance and Ethics: Ensure all AI initiatives adhere to data protection laws and ethical considerations.
• Performance Metrics: Establish KPIs to measure the success and ROI of implemented AI solutions.
• Continual Learning: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, ensuring The Republic of Tea remains an industry leader.
• Community and Sustainability: Align AI strategies with the company's sustainability goals and community commitments.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly update key stakeholders on project statuses, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, MBA, or a related field preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of total work experience with a strong emphasis on AI/ML implementation. Experience in the IT and/or consumer goods space is a plus, but we are open to candidates with varied backgrounds who show great potential.
• Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and execution.
• Strong collaborative and open-minded approach.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Familiarity with the specialty food industry is a plus, but not required.
