Art Director/Designer

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Republic of Tea is looking for an Art Director/Designer to join our Creative TEAm! In this position you will be responsible for concepting and designing retail catalogs, creating strategy for marketing efforts throughout social and ecommerce channels which will aim to be consistent with the brand vision.

Additionally, you will be relied upon for concepting visual themes, designing layouts, art directing, scheduling photography, photo and prop styling, and some photo retouching. You'll also work with the Creative Director, Creative TEAm, eCommerce team and Project Managers on other print and digital media such as emails, web and social imagery, packaging and marketing projects. The Art Director will be an influential role as we build the future of The Republic of Tea!

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Produce engaging and visually compelling catalogue imagery, create layouts that highlight our tea and gifts.
• Art direct photoshoots influencing the overall design of 4 - 6 retail catalogues per year.
• Build a collaborative relationship with printer/production in order to establish proactive communication channels in anticipation of deadlines.
• Develop material for web pages, digital ads, email campaigns and more.
• Concept and strategize print materials as needed, including pagination.
• Execute responsive design email marketing campaigns including QA and testing.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required, preferably in a Creative/Design field.
• 3 years' experience working in CPG or creative agency.
• Experience with directing photography/illustration.
• Experience in email marketing.
• Proficient in Adobe Suite in a Mac platform.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proofing skills related to both color and copy.
• Basic understanding of HTML.
• Project management knowledge and proven application.
• Basic copywriting experience.
