Financial Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be a junior member of the Accounting and Finance TEAm, whose role will primarily consist of assisting the Finance Manager in executing the accounting for The Republic of Tea's outside ventures, as well as providing backup on other GL and reporting tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist Finance Manager in entering General Ledger transactions
• Process payroll weekly for smaller related company of less than 20 people
• Create and monitor all compliance reporting for federal and state organizations
• Administer accounts payable
• Create and maintain all management reporting
• Perform periodic inventory audits and quality control reporting
• Maintain cost of goods to GAAP and owner specifications
• Maintain all master data in the AMS system
• Work with Finance Manager to monitor cash flow
• Assist the Finance Manager and Controller as a backup for:
  • P Card processing and auditing
  • AP when necessary
  • AR when necessary
  • Supply chain reporting
  • Master data maintenance
  • Any production reporting and inventory auditing
  • Cross train in accounts receivable
  • Supply chain auditing and work order finalization
  • Payroll

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's in Accounting or equivalent
• One to three years of accounting and financial analysis experience
• Experience in small, family owned and/or private companies preferred

COMPETENCIES:

• High attention to detail
• Must have a sense of urgency
• Strong Excel, numerical and analytical skills
• Strong knowledge of ERP or other large accounting packages, experience with Sage a plus
• AMS knowledge preferred
