Inventory Control Clerk

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring accurate inventory of all finish goods, successful locating of product in all shipping locations, designing and using key performance indicators to grade success of the strategic locating to improve productivity and safety within the pick lanes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Moving controls, devices, and levers to safely drive standing forklift and order picker to conduct inventory checks on upper locations.

· Accurately locate items physically and in the Sage operating system to ensure proper billing of merchandise

· Ability to review and analyze reporting on 6RS analytic pages to assist locating strategy

· Ability to use system resources to build key performance indicators, track, and report out to show locating success aligning with safety and productivity in pick/pack

· Working and coordinating with supervisors, managers, and employees regarding inventory control processes - including safety, accuracy, and productivity

· Research and investigate inventory variance reporting daily

· Monitor and guide the yearly cycle count program

· Performing routine pre-inspections and post-inspections to ensure suitable working conditions of forklift

· Reporting to supervisor regarding any damage to racks, faulty equipment, or any other safety hazards

· Cleaning work area as directed

· Completing forklift operator certification provided by the industry annually

· Performing other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

· Excellent teamwork skills

· Ability to read labels and numbers

· Ability to operate in high speed and fast-paced environment

· Able to follow instructions as directed by Supervisor and Manager

· Able to work with minimal supervision

· Able to work under pressure

· Ability to operate with a high level of attention to detail

· Must perform work with a sense of urgency

· Use and operate sit and stand forklift in safe manner

· Ability to accurately use Sage, 6RS, and Excel programs

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

· High School diploma, or equivalent GED

· Certified Forklift Training

· Two years of related experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Able to lift 50 lbs. on own multiple times daily
• Must be able to climb rolling ladder
• Able to stand or walk for long periods of time, stoop, and bend
