Logistics/Supply Chain Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides analysis of key logistics and supply chain metrics to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. Involves understanding parcel freight rates and contracts (Fed Ex, UPS, USPS, etc.) as well as LTL and truck shipping lane costs. Works closely with Operations Team to optimize customer service while continually seeking new methods, shipping options, and technology to reduce costs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

• Analyze large, multi-dimensional datasets and identify actionable insights and recommendations that guide strategic and day-to day business decisions across the Supply Chain
• Create and maintain metrics to ensure Supply Chain team is on-track to achieve its overall objectives
• Build KPIs and reporting to ensure visibility for inventory control processes supporting the Supply Chain and Finance teams.
• Develop and maintain Supply Chain milestones and timelines for regular processes and key initiatives
• Assist in financial forecasting and cost analysis for budget and standard cost processes
• Lead deep dive analysis for major supply chain initiatives, assess performance, recommends strategies to improve efficiency and profitability

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Advanced Excel skills with experience analyzing large data sets in Excel
• Strong PowerPoint skills with demonstrated experience crafting presentations and communicating messages effectively with charts and graphs to represent analytical results

• Experience with reporting tools/ analytics/visualization tools preferred

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree with strong academic record with challenging coursework from a four-year college or university in Finance, Analytics, Operations/Supply Chain, Engineering or similar field is required.
• Supply Chain: 0-2 years' experience
