Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Republic of Tea is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our TEAm working hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. We offer comprehensive benefits which includes a 401k package! This position will require an employee to be responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the buildings and equipment associated with the Republic of Tea operations. The applicant must be capable of performing all duties but not limited to the following:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reading and comprehending electrical schematics and process diagrams.
• Installation of motors, VFD's, and other electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Trouble shoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Read and trouble shoot programable logic controllers and HMIs.
• Conduct the workday in a safe manner following all company health and safety guidelines.
• Operate power tools in a safe manner.
• Install electrical conduit.
• Minimal welding as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic understanding of electrical theory.
• Basic understanding of NEC code and NFPA 70 regulations.
• Basic understanding of relays and motor circuits.
• Basic understanding of variable speed drives.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of volt meters.
• Manual dexterity.
• Able to sit/stand for 2 hours.
• Attention to detail.
• Basic reading and math skills.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to climb rolling ladder and wear standard safety harnesses.
• Must be able to work on lifts 6' to 25' above ground.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Able to push maintenance cart containing up to 100 lbs. daily.
• Able to lift 65 lbs. on own up to 4 or 5 times daily.
• Must be able to climb multiple styles of ladders.
• Able to stand or walk for long periods of time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma, or equivalent GED.
• Two years of related experience.
• Past professional electrical training or past industrial electrical experience.

COMPETENCIES

• Attention to detail.
• Must perform work with a sense of urgency.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
