The Republic of Tea's Marketing Manager will be a key member of the marketing team, providing strategic thinking and leading projects from idea through execution. This individual must be able to work cross-functionally, be creative yet analytical, be resourceful in handling project roadblocks, and be a strong executer.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Brand Marketing

  • Helps guide new products from concept to market by spearheading brand plans, marketing briefs, brand positioning studies and go-to-market strategies.
  • Serves as copywriter and editor for labels and marketing materials to ensure brand voice is consistent.
  • Collaborates with the social media team to execute impactful digital campaigns that drive brand engagement.
  • Delivers presentations internally, and to our sales team via webinar, on new product launches and market trends.

 

Market Research

  • Designs market research studies that answer critical business questions, and that inform strategic and tactical business decisions for new tea launches.
  • Leads all market research efforts, including designing surveys, leading focus groups, researching market trends and analyzing for key insights.
  • Helps to establish pricing parameters and sales forecasts of new products.
  • Manages research agency relationships.

 

Data Analysis

  • Works with Director of Marketing to formulate annual marketing budgets.
  • Manages a quarterly forecast for 1,000+ SKUs.
  • Analyzes SPINS and Whole Foods Market Portal data quarterly for insights, trends, rankings, promotional activity and white space opportunities.
  • Assists the sales TEAm with data analysis for key account presentations. Responsible for creating the presentation deck used during these meetings.
  • Works with sales team on category management decisions, such as optimizing planograms in key accounts.
  • Evaluates the ROI of marketing programs and new tea launches.
  • Supports the sales TEAm with ad hoc data analysis requests.

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Marketing and/or Business, MBA preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in marketing or brand management with experience in syndicated data analytics. Experience in natural or specialty brands a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective internal and external relationships, and influence change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business, data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Extraordinary collaboration skills and ability to wear many hats
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, advanced Excel skills required
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Experience with Tableau is good but not required
