POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting the employees and leaders within the shipping department with all daily pick and pack functions while promoting safety and positive employee engagement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Become a subject matter expert in all shipping operations functions including retail, wholesale, and truck shipments.
• Assign and move staffing to obtain maximum shipping effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Oversee work for quality, accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Assist with inventory processes to help maintain optimum code rotation and accuracy on all finished goods inventories.
• Participate in the training of new employees.
• Always maintain a clean and safe shipping area, focusing on food and employee safety.
• Work and promote safe work practices to help maintain an injury-free workplace.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma, or equivalent GED

• 2+ years operational leadership experience
• Hours of 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday
• Can work overtime as needed to assist workload completion
• Intermediate level of excel and email platforms

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Manual dexterity

• Able to lift 50 lbs. on own multiple times daily
• Able to stand or walk for long periods of time, stoop, and bend

KEY EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB

• Must be willing to perform each shipping operations position to learn, grow, establish good working relationships with the team, and help meet department goals with daily workload.
• Assign and move workforce to meet all departmental goals in both productivity and customer service.
• Promote accuracy within all aspects of the operations.

• Ability to learn and successfully execute all necessary responsibilities within the building operating systems. This includes ERP solutions and picking robots.

• Assist training new hires on all policies, procedures, and work requirements upon onboarding.
• Assist in establishing processes to promote teamwork and collaboration.
